Love is in the air tonight..

Hello there!!
So It's been a while.. I can't really remember whats happened in the past weekends.. but this last weekend went like this..
Friday- We were at a party for our prayer group that meets on Mondays. It was at Caleb's place. It was real fun!! We had pizza, chips, and i made dessert. I made brownies and cookies.. mm.. The cookies turned out to be a bigger hit.. which is what i expected! lol :) It was a pretty fun night.. lots of laughing..

Saturday: Caleb's brother & sis n law & little Madison (who is in Leslie's tummy) were in town. So Caleb hung with his bro for most of the day. But then for dinner we all went to Old Chicago! it was tasty and fun! lol They couldn't stay too late cause they had to drive back to KC. After they left me and Caleb just hung out.. It was so nice.. we just cuddled on the couch and watched our favorite TV show Chuck.. :) We had a little mini break from the show though and we went and got me a Chocolate dip cone from DQ cause i was craving one! hehe Yup.. it was such a relaxing evening!!

Sunday: Well we went to church. Then went our separate ways for most of the day.. but in the evening before bible study we went to the Konza Prairie.. It was sooooooooo nice!! like amazing.. we just chatted and enjoyed God's amazingness!! It was the perfect way to end the weekend! So yes... that was last weekend.. It was pretty nice! I felt spoiled though cause everyday last week i got to see Caleb! hehe.. Which NEVER happens. lol We didn't really do anything crazy.. we watched a little chuck.. (if you cant tell.. we are a little obsessed.. it's great though.. check it out!) But it was nice just being able to enjoy each other's company..

so.. on a random note.. We have this new dream.. So I want to open a bakery..Caleb & I both love cooking.. So we thought maybe someday we can open a restaurant/bakery. It's funny cause we love to discuss this and make elaborate plans.. but i really would love to have a bakery some day.. Caleb said he could be my chef.. and i could do the desserts & breads, my sister could do the cakes.. and my new sis-n-law could be the barista & be in charge of the coffee stuff! :) aww.. it's fun to dream! Welp.. I hope you enjoyed reading my not so exciting love life.. haha. ! But i recommend going to the Konza prairie or any pretty nature hike with a loved one.. (that could be a good friend, family member or your partner!) It's defiantly very nice.. go a little before the sun goes down!!

Casual Dates

Hey there,

So I haven't wrote in a while. Me and Caleb haven't really had any super exciting dates lately. I know last Friday we had a very mellow, relaxed evening. We started a new show.. Its called Chuck! It's a bummer though cause we have to wait for the dvds in netflicks but we watch about 4 episodes on Friday.haha. and then we went to Sonic cause i was craving it..Oh, we also got some wings from Pizza hut cause Caleb had a gift card. We had talked about maybe going bowling but.. that didn't happen. Sometimes its soo nice to just be lazy and relax. P.S. the show is really fun!! I liked it and so did Caleb..

Let see.. other than having dinner together and just hanging out we haven't done a whole lot. Tomorrow we are planning to go on a date.. Cause I am going out of town for the weekend. I think we talked about going to the Time out Corner cause we have 2 things for free 18 hole put-put. I am not sure what else we got planned. Sorry this blog isn't too exciting.. I guess that's what happens when your a busy, poor college student. haha..

I am sure we did some other things but that is all i can think of.. kind of lame i know.. but.. eh.. its life!! haha. But no worries i will keep you posted on dates to come. maybe we will find a super great deal that i must inform you on!! Take care all!!

3 years of Bliss

Well Dear Readers,

Me and Caleb celebrated 3 years of dating on Monday! :) It was very fun!! The weekend before that we did a couple cheap dates. Friday we did a little grocery shopping ( which i ended up buying Caleb his gift then.. which is wanted a deep fat fryer! lol Which he made fried okra for me! :) ). Ooh.. We made some bbq chicken... it was very yummy!! :) We watched an episode of Lie to me.. (on our Netflicks... its like our new thing..) It was very relaxing.. We also answered a question out of the book we are doing together.. It's called 101 Questions to ask before getting engaged.. It soo great.. i really recommend it for anybody that is dating and is getting serious and thinking about getting engaged.. ( Now don't be getting any ideas in your head.. i don't think you will be hearing any wedding bells with me and Caleb anytime soon.. we are just trying to build our relationship right now.) It's a very good book. I can def. tell that its strengthening our relationship.. Anyways.. that was a very fun/relaxing evening.. Sunday we had a study date.. It was pretty mellow..

Monday- Our Anniversary 9/13
So I went over to Caleb's house after he took a test. We just ate some dinner and watched some more Lie to Me.. It was very nice.. to just relax together.. Nothing like crazy.. but sometimes the more mellow times are more cherish-able!

Wednesday-
The reason we didn't go out until Wednesday was because i ordered my dress from forever 21 (for only 11 something!! :) it was a steal!) Well, it wasn't suppose to get to my place till Tuesday. So.. any ways. We dressed up very nice and went to Olive Garden.. However, once Caleb got there he told me to close my eyes and he surprised me with a VERY pretty necklace. I felt like a princess for a night!! haha ( Dorky, i know! ) I hope that every girl can find a guy that treats her like that! All i say is don't settle.. God has your prince charming out there for you..!! :) . I am not sure if we have anything planned for this weekend. maybe another Study date.. but i think the dates we do have we will be very cheap.. cooking dates are the best! :) mmm food! Summer is over... :(

Hello there!!
Wow, so its been FOREVER since i have updated my blog..
So.. Now that I have an apartment i really am going to be doing some cheap dates!! But those are becoming more and more fun!! So lately.. Me and Caleb's favorite cheap date has been making supper for each other!! :) Today he made me french toast!! yummmy!!! and the other day i made cheese, chicken quesadilla just for Caleb.. they were tasty.

OOH.. and i have a GREAT idea for all you that are looking for some cheap date ideas... if you LOVE to watch movies or TV... Me and Caleb just got Netflick.. ( we are right now still in our free month trail) but we are going to split the cost... so we will each pay like 4 something.. But we get movies and TV shows instantley onto our TV.... I have a Wii and so it works through that and he has xbox. We started watching this show called Lie To Me. .. ITS great.. We both like it.. which is...means alot.. lol haha :) I am not going to lie the instant movies arent like the best movies ever. i mean you can find one thats good.. but the real good ones you have to get in the mail. but it takes like 1 day for it to get here. We have the plan where you get one movie at a time.. But i think its a pretty great deal.. So.. our dates lately have been pretty mellow.. making supper for each other or together and watching some Lie to Me..


But ya.. nothing too crazy! !:) I will be keeping you posted on our cheap dates! lol I am sure there will be LOTS more.. oh.. and our 3 year anniversary is coming up Sep 13 soo...... we are brainstorming on something we are going to do that's not toooo expensive but fun!! lol

It's been awhile...

Hello there readers, So wow.. i am sorry for the leave of absence.!! Things have been crazy these days!!! But i must inform you of some of our FUN/ cheap date before i go away back home for the summer.. and i get really bad internet service.. so i doubt i update a whole lot!! So... lets go back to about..2 weekends ago... Me and Caleb just hung out.. the usually.. but!!! Sunday.. we went and got breakfast before church at Village inn ( great place..) But when we were almost done a lovely lady i work with appeared with her husband.. and they just happen to sit in the booth behind us! Anyways.. so as we about to leave.. the waitress was being.. all sorts of shady.. and i wasn't sure what was going on. Well.. then Caleb got out his debt card to pay.. and my work friend came over and stole him our bill!!! So.. they paid for our breakfast!! Isn't that the sweetest thing ever! :) I truly work with some of the best people..So getting FREE breakfast was pretty great!! I don't remember what else happened that weekend.. But last weekend..... Lets see.. Friday: Me and Caleb went to Olive Garden ( haha NOT cheap. .. so if your broke don't go there! )... I really wanted to go before i left town... It was TASTY!! ooh.. and me and Caleb... did this cool thing... well. it was his idea.. but we traded leftovers.. Its cute idea.. He said it was going to be our new thing... butthats if we like each others leftovers..! After that we rented Rio Bravo.. ( so this is one of Caleb's fav movies.. and we started watching it once while doing Laundry but didn't finish it.. so he made me promise we would finsih it before we went back home.. ).. Anyways.. it was a very good movie! If you like westerns... or John Wayne.. then you would like this movie.. Saturday: Well... we both just did homework for some of the day and then around 2 we went to Kansas City.. to meet his family! It was fun.. We messed around in a Cabelas for a while.. and then we went to Lowes.. ( I LOVE to play .. the imainge if game.. like if i was rich.. i would have this kitchen or this...) Anyways.. i did that.. and Caleb played along.. kind of.. lol haha. But if you ever are really bored you could go to like a home type store and do that.. i think its entertaining! lol .. After that we ate dinner... and then went back home...

Sunday: We did the usually Sunday activities.. Church, lunch, and study.. but around 5 we went to our bible studies BBQ.. mmm. soo tasty.. and free.. LOVE IT!! :) It was pretty great!! So ya. . nothing tooo exciting but it all was pretty fun! :) Well. i will try to keep you updated on some fun cheap ideas that we do over the summer! ( which we are both saving our money.. so it will probably be alot. ) .. Oh.. i almost forgot.. we also went an saw Iron Man 2 last night.. at like 10:15. lol haha. it was GREAT! :) Side note : Sonic runs are always semi-cheap and a cute casual date! Easter Weekend

Hello there fellow readers!!
So sorry this is so late... I have been dreadfully busy this week.. But i decided i probably should write a new blog before the weekend comes..
So last weekend was Easter weekend!!! Me and Caleb stayed at school instead of going home. I wasn't so sure about it at first but it was SO great!!! It was such a perfect weekend!! However, i have a confession... it wasn't really that cheap.. :/ sorry friends.. i know i let you down.. lol
but i still wanna tell you about it if you wanna listen.. well read..... lol

Friday-
( Wow... its hard to remember that far back..haha ) Oh, Friday we went to see my brother and his girlfriend. She made us dinner ( it was SOOO good.. and free.. hehe ) We brought the Jones soda though.. lol But it was alot of fun.. we just ate dinner and then another couple came over and we played this game called things... it was fun!! played that for the whole evening.. it was alot of fun.. After that we left.. and got back pretty late.

Saturday-
We tried to make this a homework day.. but that didnt really happen... We didn't really do anything special... For lunch we did however, have our own picnic. We got sandwiches from Wendy's, french fries from Freddie's and ice cream and then had Jones soda. It was yummy!!.. Caleb then came over to my place and we did some homework.. talked alot.. lol Then that evening we decided to have a Disney movie night ( Caleb's idea). It turned out to be more of just a kids movie night instead of a "Disney" we got over the hedge and the 1st old herbie movie. They both were great!! It was fun.. we also went to Buffalo Wild Wings... it was tasty!!! mmmmmmm.....

Sunday- Easter!!!
Well, we decided to have our own Sunrise service.. so we got up around 6:45.. We went up to this overlook of the lake.. It is pretty... However, we didn't even really seen the sunrise.... it was cloudy or we were not facing the right way or something.. but it was still nice...! We then went back and took a nap till Church. Then went to church....then after church we ate at this place called Kites ( the one more out of town) It was nice.. not as good as my mom's home cooked Easter dinners... :( but we sat outside cause it was nice and sunny..! The weather was just sooo great! ... After that we went back to my room and did homework. Then for dinner we got the $10 any pizza and toppings from Pizza hut ( i recommend it!! I LOVE Pizza Hut..) We then watched Old dogs with Robin Williams and John Travolta.. SOOOO funny..!! i laughed SOO hard...! I really liked it.. i laughed a lot harder than Caleb but he thought it was funny/ cheesy too! lol

Well.. that was the main points of my weekend.. It may not sounds that great.. but it was...!! It was who i spent most of my time with that made it great!! ( this was me and Caleb's 1st Easter that we spent together.. out of our 2 and 1/2 years together..lol We have been together for 3 Easters though.... hope i am not confusing you.. lol ) But ya.. it was great.I hope your Easter was great.... and that you remember why we celebrate Easter... :) Well, that's all for now!

Priceless Double Dating..!

Hello there everyone,

Sorry it's been so long since i have written. I went on Spring break and didn't have alot of time to blog. So me and Caleb only hung out once over the break but it was also a double date!! Guess what.... it was FREE tooo.. haha. yup.. So i bet you are DIEING to know what we did.. well.

My best friend Aiko is married to this guy named Stephen.. and that's who we went on our double date with. What we did was we first went to the park and played around. It was a little chilly so we didn't stay there too long. However, while we were there we went to the zoo and saw the monkeys! :) After that we went to Walmart.. haha (yes. not the most romantic place) but it was fun. We just goofed off, took pics of random things.

I am not sure how much the boys enjoyed it. haha.It was a lot of fun.. We would have hung out longer but sadly I had to go to the dentist.. ( BOOOOO.) So Caleb took me and waited for me while i was in the Dentist ( Caleb is quite the sweetheart)

Once i was done at the Dentist we went back to my place and hung out for a while. We sang some karaoke.. (haha.. well i sang mostly.. ) My brother just bought this new karaoke machine.. I think its quite fun.. Then we went and sat on the porch swing and just talked... it was sweet.. !! Then we helped my mom get dinner ready. We peeled potatoes.. and Caleb is so sweet he let me use the peeler and he used a knife.. made me a little nervous though! haha However, for a while him and my mom got talking about politics ( of course.. lol) and so i ened up doing most of the peeling.. hahaha ( I am sure Caleb would tell you a different story!) However, after that Caleb left... It was anything like amazing.. but it was fun still.. and Priceless!! :)

Double dating is pretty fun.. its something i would love to do more often.. Some ideas i came up with next time are.. well for one if you want to go to Walmart . you could have some type of scavenger hunt. That is what I wanted to do but the boys.... we weren't so excited. I wanted to played hide in go seek also in Walmart. haha or if you didn't want to go to Walmart.. you could go bowling... get ice cream, snow cones, coffee, play board games, make some type of crafts.. There are lots of things to though for a double date!!

I have been trying to brain storm on some things on what me and Caleb could do for a cheap/ fun date.. that isnt something we do all the time like ( watch movies.. lol) But i will let you know what i come up with.... hehe ( Caleb is going home this weekend so i dont know if we are going to do anything... Last night we went to Walmart and we went running with another friend.. it was nice to see him and talk to him for just a little.. I have come to start appreciating the small things.! Expectally when you are a busy college student and you dont have that much free time!

OH.. on a side note... i went on a girl date.. and went shopping over Spring break.. and Me and my friend went to Steak and Shake and got a Shake.. and it just happened to be during happy hour.. and it was SOO good.. so that is an idea.. if you live near a steak and shake!! go get a YUMMY shake during Happy hour!! :)

Anyways, hopefully next time I have some more ideas for ya.. the things i do really aren't that AMAZING.. I think its just depends on what attitude you have on weather or it is fun. Because let me tell you Cheap dates can be fun! :)

Applebees??... Yes please!!

Hello there dear friends,
So.. i decided that i would change things up a little bit and blog about my night instead of waiting till Monday!! hehe!
So.. first of off.. let me say. i was super excited to go on a date with Caleb... It was super cute.. cause Thursday night.. he was like "Joee, do you want to go to dinner with me?" and i said "aw.. Are you asking me on a date??" hehe.. and he was like "um, i'm just wanted to know if you wanted to go to eat dinner wit me.. like somewhere niceish.." and... I said " AW... Caleb.. I WOULD love to go on a date with you!!!" :).. hehe.. So anyways.. Caleb came over.. and we chatted while i did my hair.. (which i took all this time curling it.. and it didn't stay long...) Then we decided to go to Applebees.. We waited for only about 25-30 mins.. it wasn't too bad.. It was nice to just be able to be relaxed and chat because both our weeks have been so busy we have hardly seen each other!! .. ( I wasn't as impressed with the service.. or the food.. but... it wasn't that bad..) So.. my friends.. you must see that... our dinner wasnt some outrageously cheap meal... but it was worth it..
The rest of the weekend i think will be spend studying...soo.. ya.. haha. After we ate.. we went to Wal-mart and I got some things.. and we also go some milk to go along with the oreos my mom sent me!! mmmmm...tasty!!!
Then we went back to my lovely dorm.. and watched the Bee Movie ( yes.. it is a kid movie.. but Caleb wanted to watch it cause it has Jerry Seinfeld in it..) It's cute.. i had seen it before with some girls i've babysat but Caleb hadn't. It was fun though... my lovely roommate joined us.. making it even more fun!! :) ( we added our commentary.. which i am sure.. Caleb just LOVED...) haha. but yep.. that was about the main parts of the night.. So.. it was anything crazy.. but then.. it was still so fun.. and meaningful to me. :) Welp... If i do anything else fun... and cheap this weekend. i will keep you posted!! Until then!!

Ok,

So my title has nothing to do with this blog.. i just really wanted to write that.. lol
Anyways, HELLO there!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend? I did.. and it was spent cheaply!! :) Sorry, i haven't written in a while. I went home last weekend so there wasn't much to talk about. So.. lets start with FRIDAY.. my favorite day of the week! :)

Friday: 2/26/10

So me and Caleb went bowling with Caleb's brother and his wife and then another couple. It was quite fun..!! I love bowling ( i even got one strike) yay!!.. Also, it happened that Caleb had these coupon things for a free game of bowling so all we had to do pay for was the shoes!! :) So it turned out to be pretty cheap!! yay!!! Then after that we went back to one of the guys house and we watched this kind of spooky movie called Pandorum.. It was really confusing and creepy. After that we also watched some of the show supernatural. It was ok.. Its kind of interesting.. I am just not a big fan of supernatural stuff.. That was about all we did that night!

Saturday:

We started off this day by grabbing soe donuts which were only $1.50... and then we went to go do some work for Caleb's boss.. in which we made $24 dollars for 2 hours!! :) so.. after that we went cleaned up and then grabbed some lunch/dinner since it was already 4 and we hadn't ate lunch. We went to Pizza Hut. ( We didn't get any CRAZY deal or anything..) We did get this family pasta for only 12.99 and it came with bread sticks... It wasn't bad.. ( i still had like have like a whole serving left in my frig) oh.. crazy... so while we were eating some guy left his like 2 6 or 7 year old boys in pizza hut by them selves and then when he came back the manager told him that next time she was going to call the cops... and so he stormed out saying all kind of mean stuff. haha it was CRRRAZZY! ( some parents these days.... idk) Any who.. after that we....went and rented a movie ( which took us FOREVER to figure out what we wanted to watch).. haha we ended up picking Surrogates with Bruce Willis. It was good. better then i thought it was going to be..But guess WHAT!! ?? We also didn't have to pay for the movie because i had a 3 dollar credit on my account! yay!! hehe.. So ... we really didn't do a whole lot Saturday. but it was nice.. at one point we just relaxed and talked... (which is always nice to do..)

Sunday:

SOoooooo.. Me and Caleb went to this different church that his boss had invited us to because we heard that there was going to be a pot luck afterwards.. (main reason for going.. lol ) but also there was going to be this group of kids from Central Christian College performing... It was really good. It was different but good. They dressed up in like clothes that they might have worn back then and sand and danced and then this one guy spoke. It was real nice. :) then.. of course we went to the free pot luck afterwards ( I LOVE church pot lucks).. It was TASTY... After church we went back to our room.. I cleaned my room.. and vacuumed even.. it's SOOO much better. then i took a nap.. until me and Caleb went to our bible study.

So.. yup.. that was about the jist of my weekend.. It was quite fun and relaxing.. ( not a whole lot of homework got done though.. oops.. lol ) I think it was a weekend well spent.... and was pretty cheap too..

Hello there,
Man so much has happened since I last talked to you. I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Weekend.. even if you are single. i am sure you had a good weekend! So.. lets start with Thursday.
Thursday: 2/11/10
I had this dance for this christian organization i kind of go to. haha It was a dance that you were suppose to dress up for. I had so much fun! Of course Caleb was my date. ! He really doesn't like dances so it was very sweet of him to go with me. All my friends thought i was so mean cause i just left him alone while i danced but you have to understand that Caleb was much happier being left alone then being ackwardly on the dance floor! I had a super fun time dancing around like a mad man with my friends! I love being able to dance all crazy and not have to worry about looking like a pro dancer! It was a BLAST.. and everyone looked so pretty!

Friday: Me and Caleb just did nothing for a while and then later grabbed a pizza and watched a movie. I would tell you what it was.. but i forgot. It's a guy movie... and has Johnny Depp in it. He is like a banker robber.

Saturday: My brother came to town and Me and Caleb met his new girlfriend! It was alot of fun. I was really glad to see them both. We went to this place called the Time out Corner and played some put-put. :) ( I still don't know who won...) They later went to the basketball game and Caleb and I did homework while we waited for them. Later we all went to Applebee's to eat.. It was pretty fun.

Sunday: V-day!!! :)
So... We went to church, and before church Caleb gave me some flowers! They were super pretty! I love flowers. He said that he even picked them out! Then later that day we went to Topeka and we ate at Olive Garden. It was super yummy! It was perfect too. Cause it just felt all so romantic! ( I forgot to mention that Saturday morning we did some lawn work for Caleb's boss.. so the money we earned there we used for our dinner). Once dinner was over we drove back home and then went to the movies and saw When In Rome. ( it was SUPER cute!) Caleb even enjoyed it! It is very funny! It was just a very perfect evening. Caleb was of course the sweetheart he is!! We both dressed up a little, so that was fun. I love dressing up!

A Romantic Gesture!!

So,
I had to tell you guys about this sweet thing Caleb did. Now its not like anything HUGE.. but its the small things that count right?
Ok.. so.. Last night i was freaking out because i couldn't find this cord to charge my camera. (side note: i LOVE taking pictures.!! ) anyways.. so then i was like panicking cause i have this dance i am going to tonight where we are dressing up and everything (side note again: i even got these SUPER cute red shoes.. pics will be posted! ) and i really want to take pics of it.. I mean wouldn't you? So i called Caleb really upset about losing my charger and he said "Well do you want to go to Walmart and see if we can find you a new one?" You have to also realize that it is 11 at night, and we both have lots of homework. I was sooo touched that he suggested that. I was like sure! So at 11 last night we went to walmart and THANKFULLY i found a cord for my charger that would work and it was a lot cheaper than some of the other ones they had! yay!! I just had to tell you about how cute i thought that was... !! He is sooo sweet... It may not seem like a big deal.. but I just though it was so sweet. I told him.. You have no idea what this means to me... and he was like.. well i understand your love to take pictures... lol I ,however, don't understand you but that's ok! :) Super cute.. I am a lucky girl! But sorry for that random note!

Sarah Palin & Super bowl all in one weekend!

Ok,
So sorry it took me so long to post what we did last weekend seeing as how its already almost the weekend again... and better yet VALENTINE'S weekend! yay! :) (cause i know you guys were DIEING To know... what we did.. hahaha)
Friday: 2/5/10
This was the day we went to go see Sarah Palin! yes, i know some people really don't like her.. but some people.. like me and Caleb.. love her! It was about an hour away, and we got there at 4:15 and it didn't start till 7. But the time didn't go by too slow. Me and Caleb were so excited, we just chatted all the way there and all the way back! ;) It was soo cool. They said that there were 6,000 people there!! Crazy huh? I was glad we got there so early and that we waited till the crowd died down before we left because sometimes i get a little nervous in big crowds. Sarah had lots of interesting things to say.... i would tell you more about it but you probably don't care.. and if you do just talk to me personally! :) After that we decide that since we were semi dressed up.. we should go eat some where a little nice. So we went to Applebee's.. yes..yes. i know what you are thinking. "What that not cheap." I know dear friends... but it was SUPER tasty. But also we got this 2 for $20 deal so it wast too bad. We both were pretty full by the time our food even came so we both had lots of leftovers for the next day! ;)

Saturday: 2/6/10
Hmm.. let see.. We really didn't hang out too much this day. I went and saw Dear John with a friend (talk about tear jerkier). However, around 5:30-6ish me and Caleb had a study date! (it was actually pretty cute) Then at 9:30 we decided to go to the $2 movie place and go see Law Abiding Citizen. (it was... good...very violent though)

Sunday: SUPERBOWL !!!
Haha ok. So.. of course we went to church in the morning and then after that Caleb's boss had given him 2 tickets to this boy scout spaghetti feed. So we went to that.. and it was tasty.. and guess what FREEEEEE!! Later that evening we went to our bible study, and had some... FREE pizza and watched the 1st half of the Superbowl and then did out bible study! It was a very nice weekend.. Nothing too crazy.. besides seeing Sarah Palin .. of course! :)

And Away We Go!

Hello there,
So lets see... I have so much to tell you about. :)I'm sure that your dieing to hear too. So Friday night Me and Caleb did a little laundry and we watched a movie while we did that. ( It was Rio Bravo, If you were wondering! ) After that it was about 10ish and Caleb didn't really want to go back to his dorms to go to sleep, so he suggested that we go bowling. I then remembered that it was half price bowling! So we had to wait about an hour but while we waited we played some pool! It was super fun. They even had some free food there which I made sure to grab some sandwiches for lunches later. haha! Then by the time we were done with that it was late so we said our goodbyes.

Saturday-
Well... first we went and looked at an apartment that Caleb wanted to check out at about 10:30 in the morning... which is pretty early for me to get up on a Saturday. lol Once we were done looking at that ( which he pretty much took me along just to take pics!) we went back to our own places. I took a little nap and then got the brilliant idea to go to the capitol. So we decided to be a little spontaneous and go to capitol.Lucky for us it was only an hour away! When we got to the capitol we were afraid it was closed... but it wasn't..! yay! We ,however, were the only people looking around in it. It was pretty awesome. haha! Once we were done playing around in there we went and got tickets to go see Couples Retreat at this $2 theater! While we waited for our movie we did a little looking around in the mall.. which wasnt Caleb's favoties thing to do. Finally, we watched the movie (which was pretty good.. however, not as funny as i thought it would be) Then we drove home having a very good chat!

So I think that all in all we had a pretty cheap weekend...! And if you are ever bored and tired of just being in your town.. try maybe going to the next town over.. it may not be crazy exciting but its at least some different scenry! Just make it an Adventure!

Ok guys...
So I have a confession. Lets see.. how do i say this. haha. Well, you see I heard from some ladies at my work that Sarah Palin was going to be in Salina, and so I called to see if they had any tickets left and they did! :) So I went ahead and bought them. So they weren't that cheap. I mean they were $25 a pieace. Which isn't horrible.. but i thought that i better confess that. Its SOO going to be worth it though. What I was thinking about doing is kind of having this be Caleb's Valentines present. I mean that makes sense right? I am just SOO excited. But it does stink now that it was $50. So now our dates will have to be even cheaper. haha! Welp.. I hope you guys aren't too mad and disappointed at me.. haha :)

oooh.. on a random note. I have been doing the free 2 week trail of Netflicks. I've been loving it. Because check this out.. you can watch movies INSTANTLY onto your computer. haha so ya. So it is really nice because we don't have to like go rent a movie we can watch one free INSTANTLY onto my computer.. ITS GREAT!! haha but ya i will be sad when it is over. :( All well. That's all i have for now!

Being Cheap = Creative Dates

OK!!!
So... where to start with my SUPER fun weekend! lol Well. I guess i should start at the beginning. Well Friday night Me and Caleb ate in my dorm dinning hall with some friends. I used a guest pass so Caleb could eat with me. Which worked out great. After that we hung out with some of my SUPER fun friends... we played some imagine if.. and then we watched.... wait for it..... EXTREME DAYS!! the best movie ever.. or so i thought way back in the ol church camp days. haha. It was too fun.. So lets see... we spent.. $0 dollars that night... :) yay!!!

Saturday..
So this was a pretty fun day.. Me and Caleb didn't hang out until around 4ish. We went ice skating! And it only cost $2 for shoes and $2 to get in.. so it was only $8 dollars for the both of us.. which isn't too bad. It was fun. However, i had to wear some men shoes cause they ran out of my size in women's so my shoes were VERY uncomfortable... But it was still fun.. Caleb seem to really enjoy it. He's brother and his wife joined us too. so it was a very cute double date.
After we were done ice skating. Me and Caleb went on the hunt for some cheap food.. and we did find quite the deal.. ready to hear it??? ok.. We went to Wendy's and both got this chicken deluxe meal which was only 2.99 per person. not bad huh?? It was SOOO tasty! :) mmm
Then we went and bowled with a friend which was pretty cheap too because we had a coupon for buy one game get the other game FREE!! :) :) .. Then after that... (yes we did some many things i know) we went to Caleb's brother's and watched post grad..
(which i had seen but wasn't paying much attention..).

Finally after that we said our sad but sweet goodbyes.....:'( .. However.. once i got to my room. i went to tell my roommate all about my EXCITING evening.. I went to get my camera... and what do you know i realized that i forgot my camera at the bowling ally. talk about trying not to freak out. haha. However, no worries i quickly called Caleb and told him and then called the bowling ally and luckily they had just closed and would wait for Caleb to get there. So I called Caleb to ask him if he would go get it.. and he was already on his way there.. Isn't that sweet??? i know!! I love him! hehe lucky me.. So yes.... lets just say.. yesterday was a very exciting and eventful day..

The Broke Babe

My name is Joee. I am 19 years old and very broke.. okay well... not like living on the streets broke... but you know college broke. I have been dating this handsome, charming boy named Caleb for about 2 years and exactly 4 months today!! I am a girl that likes to spend her money. Even though i happen to be dating a guy that likes to be cheap and responsible with his money... which is a good quality! hehe sometimes! ;) I am writing this blog about how 2 college students find creative ways to go on fun but cheap dates. It will also include me discussing the difficulties of keeping a low budget in college and the stresses it can have on relationships!!
