So... My last blog I told you that me and Caleb were going to have a nice dinner!! Well.. He proposed to me that night!! hehe :) I know alot of you have been wanting to know the story. so I shall tell you even though it really doesn't have anything to do with my blog (Priceless dating).. :)Friday-Jan 7
Ok.. to start off I have to mention that as I all when i was already to go.. I couldn't find my camera.. ! I love to take pictures.. and since me and Caleb were both going to be dressed nice I really wanted to make sure I had my camera! So I literally threw my apartment apart looking for my camera! It was 6:00 .. which was when I was suppose to be there.. However, i texted Caleb and told him my problem and he understood (he knows me well enough that if Joee wants/needs her camera.. then it must be found...lol ) He mentioned that I could borrow his roommate's camera.. So when i finally gave up hope.. and prayed a little prayer.. cause I know that is what my Mom (Beverly) would do.. I had this thought all of sudden that maybe it was in my car.. but I knew that it couldn't possibly be there... So I looked around a little more then gave up and went to the car.. and sure enough there was my camera sitting in my passenger seat.haha I had to laugh to myself.. God defiantly has a sense of humor!!Any who.. back to the engagement story.. haha..
As I walked into Caleb's apartment I was at first very confused when I saw that it was very dark.. However, I noticed that he had candles light around his kitchen and he had a very nice table set with candles also on it.. I was definitely surprised. The 1st course of the night was our salads. Then once we were done with our salads Caleb served me this yummy chicken and mashed potatoes and corn on the cob!! It was all soo delicious! I was very impressed with all the work that Caleb went through. For the dinner he bought table cloth, candles, and wine glasses for the (for our sparkling grape juice)! It was all soo romantic..
Caleb looked soo handsome... and he seemed a little more quite than usual. (He later said that he was pretty nervous/anxious.. but I def couldn't tell) I kind of had some suspicions as to what was going on but I wasn't totally sure.. He was pretty quiet... and just kept smiling at me as i rattled on about who knows what.. But Caleb being quiet isn't something abnormal.. lol After we had our meal Caleb served me the dessert that I had brought.. (which if i knew that I was going to get engaged I would have def made something more fancy..)FINALLY... after dessert.. Caleb brought his chair over next to me... He started talking to me about how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me.. I almost started to tear up when he got down on his knee (which I was so surprised I couldn't even tell he was really on his knee.. I just knew he was pulling something out of his pocket) My hear started to race... and then Caleb pulled out the ring and said "Joee, Will you marry me?".. I said "oh my gosh.. oh my gosh.. oh my gosh.. " and then hugged him.. Then I took the ring and placed it on my finger.. just amazed at what happened!! He then laughed and said " You still didn't answer my question" haha then of course i said yes!! and kissed him.. then looked at the ring.. and just said.. "oh my gosh" a couple more times!! :) I paused for a second and said, "You asked my dad right?" haha.. and No worries he did.. :)
Then of course we had some more sparkling grape juice.. took some pics.. then called our family and friends! It was the most perfect & romantic night!! The rest of the night I just had a grin plastered to my face!! :) It's crazy to think I am engaged!!! We finally picked a date.. It's August 13, 2011. Which is great.. because 1.. our apartment leases end Aug 1... and 2. Our anniversary is on the 13th now.. and its our lucky # :)So you have officially heard my story..
I am sure I will be updating you on more of the wedding planning..
Oh.. P.s. Another random cute thing..was that Caleb told me that I was the 1st one to see the ring. Cause he wanted it to be a surprise to everyone! :) Isn't that soo cute.! I'm a lucky girl!!
